A RESOLUTION COMMENDING SAM LEHR FOR HIS SERVICE
ON THE WEST MEMPHIS CITY COUNCIL.
WHEREAS, Sam Lehr was appointed to serve as Alderman from Ward
Three, Position One, on the West Memphis City Council beginning
September 17, 1987 and subsequently re-elected three times; and
WHEREAS, Sam Lehr has admirably represented his constituents
in Ward Three and all of the citizens of West Memphis during his
service on the City Council; and
WHEREAS, Sam Lehr's service to the City of West Memphis has
included serving as vice-mayor, chairman of the Public Works
Commission, Advertising and Promotion Commission, the Police
Commission, the Recycling Committee, Fire and Police Pension
Millage Study Committee, the Budget Committee, and as liaison from
the City Council to the Design Review Commission; and
WHEREAS, Sam Lehr has brought a progressive, positive and
active attitude to all of his endeavors as a representative of the
City of West Memphis; and
WHEREAS, the City of West Memphis has been fortunate to have
the service, dedication and outgoing personality of Sam Lehr on the
City Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS, THAT Sam Lehr be commended for his
service and dedication to the citizens of West Memphis.
