A RESOLUTION COMMENDING STATE REPRESENTATIVE LLOYD C.
MCCUISTON JR. FOR HIS SERVICE TO THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS
AND CRITTENDEN COUNTY
WHEREAS, State Representative Lloyd C. McCuiston Jr. has
faithfully served the needs and wishes of West Memphis and Crit-
tenden County in the Arkansas Legislature for 34 years, where
he currently ranks 5th in seniority in the 100 member house; and
WHEREAS, Lloyd McCuiston has not only been an asset to the
people of West Memphis, but the State of Arkansas as a whole and
in 1981 he was elected Speaker of the House of Representative
during the 73rd General Assembly; and
WHEREAS, Lloyd McCuiston has been one of the staunchest
allies of City and County government in the Legislature; and
WHEREAS, during his long tenure of public service Lloyd
McCuiston has held himself to the highest standards of honesty,
integrity, character, and vision; and
WHEREAS, Lloyd McCuiston serves as a role model for future
generations; by his thoughts, deeds, and actions, he has left
his community a far better place than he found it; and
WHEREAS, it is the wish of the Executive Branch and the
West Memphis City Council to thank him for his years of tire-
.: less dedication and service, and wish him well on his retire-
ment from public office, and in all his future endeavors.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS, that State Representative
Lloyd C. McCuiston be commended for his service and dedication
to the citizens of West Memphis and Crittenden County.
