A RESOLUTION FOR THE SELECTION OF A
FIRM FOR GENERAL ENGINEERING SERVICES
FOR THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
AGENCY -SOUTH 21ST STREET IMPOVEMENT
PROJECT (B-94-MC-OS-0009).
WHEREAS, Arkansas Code Annotated Section 19-11-801, et. seq., provides the
procedure for the selection and negotiation of contracts for professional services, including
professional engineering services; and
WHEREAS, competitive bidding for the procurement of professional engineering
services is prohibited; and
WHEREAS, the Community Development Agency of West Memphis is in need of
contracting for professional engineering services for the South 21st Street Improvement Project;
and
WHEREAS, the Community Development Agency of West Memphis has reviewed and
evaluated the statement of qualifications and performance data, selected the required firm and
negotiated a contract with the firm considered the best qualified and capable of performing the
desired work, that being Brawley Consulting Engineers, Inc.;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS, that the selection of Brawley Consulting Engineers, Inc.
to provide general engineering services to the Community Development Agency of West
Memphis for the South 21st Street Improvement Project is hereby approved and the Mayor and
City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute the necessary contracts on behalf of the Community
Development Agency for the general engineering services to be provided by Brawley Consulting
Engineers, Inc.
