A RESOLUTION COMMENDING JAMES COOPER FOR HI5 SERVICE
ON THE WEST MEMPHIS CITY COUNCIL
WHEREAS, the Executive Branch and Legislative Branch of the
City of West Memphis congratulate James Cooper on his tenure with
the West Memphis City Council; and
WHEREAS, James Cooper was elected to serve as Alderman from
Ward Five, Position mwo, on the West Memphis City Council begin-
ning January 1, 1985; and
WHEREAS, James Cooper has admirably represented his constit-
uents in Ward Five and all of the citizens of West Memphis during
his service with the City Council; and
WHEREAS, James Cooper can always be recognized at the city
council meetings by his colorful suits especially the one called,
"money green"; and
WHEREAS, James Cooper has served on various boards and
commissions namely Public Warks Committee, Sanitation Commission,
Budget Commission, the West Memphis Housing Authority, the May-
or's Youth Task Force, the Community Development Block Grant
Committee and served as Chairman of the Police Commission; and
WHEREAS, the City of West Memphis has
the service, dedication and outgoing person
on the City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
