A RESOLUTION APPROVING A GRANT FROM THE FEDERAL AVIATION
ADMINISTRATION IN THE AMOUNT OF $460,000.00 AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE DOCUMENTS
TO OBTAIN THE GRANT.
WHEREAS, the City of West Memphis has been approved for
federal assistance for a grant of federal funds for a project
for development of the West Memphis Municipal Airport; and
WHEREAS, the Federal Aviation Administration has allocated
for the West Memphis Municipal Airport a grant in the amount of
$460,000.00 for project number 3-05-0065-09-95 to be used to
complete construction of runway extension and parallel taxiway
Extension and to extend MITL and MIRL;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS, THAT, the grant from the
Federal Aviation Administration in the amount of $460,000.00
for project number 3-05-0065-09-95 is hereby approved and
accepted and the Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized
to execute the necessary documents to obtain the grant.
