A RESOLUTION DECLARING CERTAIN STRUCTURES TO BE DANGEROUS
BUILDINGS AND DIRECTING THAT SUCH STRUCTURES BE IMMEDIATELY
REPAIRED, VACATED, OR DEMOLISHED IN ACCORDANCE WITH CHAPTER
6.04 OF THE WEST MEMPHIS MUNICIPAL CODE.
WHEREAS, Chapter 6.04 of the West Memphis Municipal Code provides
'` the procedure for the immediate repair, vacation or demolition of
dangerous buildings where it reasonably appears that there is immediate

WHEREAS, all dangerous buildings within the terms of Chapter 6.04
of the West Memphis Municipal Code are declared to be public nuisances
and shall be repaired, vacated or demolished as provided in Chapter
6.04 of the West Memphis Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, the building inspector has reported to the City Council
that there reasonably appears that there is an immediate danger to the
life or safety of any person with respect the Criner's Motel located at
3510 East Broadway and the Landmark Motel at 923 East Broadway in West
Memphis, Arkansas, and has recommended that both of the structures
should be cleared of debris, vacated, boarded up and secured;
~ NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS, THAT:
1. The structures located at 3510 East Broadway in West Memphis,
Arkansas, and known as Criner's Motel, and 923 East Broadway in West
Memphis, Arkansas, known as the Landmark Motel, are hereby declared to
be dangerous buildings as defined in Chapter 6.04 of the West Memphis
Municipal Code and to be public nuisances and the City of West Memphis
shall cause the immediate vacation, clearance of debris, boarding up
and securing of such dangerous buildings.
2. The costs of such emergency repair, vacation, or demolition
of such dangerous buildings shall be collected in the same manner as
provided in Section 6.04.050 E of the West Memphis Municipal Code.
