A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING THE WILLINGNESS OF
THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS
TO UTILIZE FEDERAL-AID MONEYS
WHEREAS The City of West Memphis applied for funding through the Arkansas
Recreational Trails Program to develop a Sports Complex Trail and
has been notified by the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation
' Department that this project has been approved, and
WHEREAS The City of West Memphis is willing to provide matching funding for
the project, and

WHEREAS This project, using federal funding, will be open and available for use by
the general public.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE WEST MEMPHIS CITY
COUNCIL THAT:
SECTION I. The City of West Memphis will participate in accordance with its desig-
nated responsibility, including maintenance of this project.
SECTION II. Mayor Al Boals is hereby authorized and directed to execute all appro-
priate agreements and contracts necessary to expedite the construction
of the above stated project.
SECTION III. The West Memphis City Council pledges its full support and hereby
authorizes the City of West Memphis to cooperate with the Arkansas
State Highway and Transportation Department to initiate action to im-
plement this project.
