A RESOLUTION APPROVING A REVISION TO THE 2021 BUDGET.
WHEREAS,A.C.A. §14-58-203 states the governing body may alter or revise the
budget and unpledged funds appropriated by the governing body:for any purpose may be
subsequently, by action of the governing body, appropriated to another purpose; and
WHEREAS,the Finance Director of the City of West Memphis,Arkansas, deems it
necessary to request a change in the approved budget for 2021; and
WHEREAS,the Finance Director request to amend the budget for General Fund
transfers out increase $900,000.00 and increase appropriations $800,00.00, Street Fund increase
appropriation$800,000.00. In addition, appropriate expenditures for the Debt Repayment Fund
in the amount of$70,000.00; and
WHEREAS, the Finance Director of the City of West Memphis, Arkansas, finds that the
request for changes in the approved budget for 2021 has met all requirements as stated in this
statute and it is appropriate that the requested changes should be approved;
NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS,ARKANSAS, THAT the changes in the 2021 budget for the
City of West Memphis is hereby approved and shall be in full force and effect from and after the
date of its passage and approval.
