SPECIAL CALLED MEETING
January 10,2023
A special called meeting of the West Memphis City Council was held on Tuesday,January 10,2023,at
12:00 p.m.in the City Council Chambers at City Hall,205 S.Redding,West Memphis,Arkansas.
Mayor Marco McClendon called the meeting to order at 12:00 p.m.Senior Deputy City Clerk,Patricia
Lane,called the roll.Those present were Mayor Marco McClendon,City Attorney Michael Stephenson,and
Council Members:Gheric Bruce Tracy Catt, Wayne Croom,Helen Harris,James Holt,Lorraine Mohammed, Willis
Mondy,David Murray,and Charles Wheeless.Absent was Councilor Melanie Hutchinson,City Treasurer,Charlie
Suiter Jr.Also present was Finance Director,Tori Perry. Evening Times Reporter,David Wilburn was not present.
Quorum being present,Mayor McClendon proceeded with the meeting.

NEW BUSINESS:
A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING THE WILLINGNESS OF THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS TO
UTILIZE STATE STREET MONIES FOR THR FOLLOWING CITY PROJECT:WEST MEMPHIS MLK
JR DR.OVERLAY
Councilor Mondy made the motion,seconded by Councilor Wheeless to read R-1 by title only.Upon
voice vote,voting was unanimous to read R-1 by title only.
City Attorney Stephenson read the resolution by title only. Councilor Croom made.the motion,seconded
by Councilor Wheeless to approve the resolution.Upon voice vote,voting waslnanimous to approve.
The resolution was adopted and assigned No.2278.

ANNOUNCEMENTS: Senior Deputy City Clerk,Patricia Lane announced that Statements of
Financial Interest for Elected Officials must be filed in the City Clerk's
Office-by no later than January 31,2023.
CITIZENS REQUEST: NONE
Having no further business to come before the City Council,Councilor Wayne Croom
made the motion,seconded by Councilor Helen Harris to adjourn.Upon voice
vote,voting was unanimous.The meeting adjourned at 12:15 p.m.
