AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIAL USE PERMIT FOR THE
PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1-40 AND COLLEGE BLVD ,PERMITTING A
TRAVEL CENTER IN SC-2 SUBURBAN COMMERICAL 2-OPEN DISPLAY
ZONING DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, application has been made to the City Planning Commission, on
April 26, 2023, for a Special Use Permit allowing a Travel Center, as required by
Ordinance No. 2591, as amended.
WHEREAS, after notice had been published for the time and in the manner as
provided by Ordinance No. 2591, as amended,the matter was heard by the City Planning
Commission on Wednesday,April 26, 2023, and the Planning Commission
recommended a Special Use Permit be granted to allow a Travel Center at I-40 and
• College Blvd, located in a SC-2, Suburban Commercial 2-Open Display.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1: The following described property, to wit:
1-40 and College Blvd
West Memphis, Arkansas
and the same hereby is granted a Special Use Permit allowing a Travel Center at I-40 and
College Blvd, located in a SC-2, Suburban Commercial 2-Open Display with the
following criteria:
•
1. Subject to and in accordance with the attached Site Plan.
SECTION 2: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed.
