2281 RESOLUTION NO. 2 g/
A RESOLUTION APPROVING A REVISION TO THE 2022 BUDGET.
WHEREAS, A.C.A. §14-58-203 states the governing body may alter or revise the
budget and unpledged funds appropriated by the governing body for any purpose may be
subsequently, by action of the governing body, appropriated to another purpose; and
WHEREAS, the Finance Director of the City of West Memphis, Arkansas, deems it
necessary to request a change in the approved budget for 2022; and
WHEREAS, the Finance Director requests to amend the budget for General Transfer
in/out to Street Fund$556,374.02, Sanitation Fund$500,000, Library Fund$1,470,062.33 and
SRO Fund $800,000; and the Finance Director requests to amend the budget for Airport Transfer
in/out to Airport Fund $36,547.62; the Finance Director request to amend the budget for Utility
Depreciation Transfer in/out to Utility Depreciation Fund $1,400,827.94.
WHEREAS, the Finance Director of the City of West Memphis, Arkansas, finds that the
request for changes in the approved budget for 2022 has met all requirements as stated in this
statute and it is appropriate that the requested changes should be approved in the total amount of
$4,763,811.91.
NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS,ARKANSAS, THAT the changes in the 2022 budget for the
City of West Memphis are hereby approved and shall be in full force-and effect from and after
the date of its passage and approval. •
