A RESOLUTION APPROVING AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO GRANT
AGREEMENT FOR PROJECT NO. 3-05-0065-03 FROM THE FBDBRAL
AVIATION ADMINISTRATION FOR AN ADDITIONAL AMOUNT OF
X52,500.00 AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERH TO
EXECUTE THE AMENDMENT.
WHEREAS, the City of West Memphis has been approved for
assistance under the Airport Improvement Program, as
authorized by the Airport and Airway Improvement Act of
1982, as amended by the Airport and Airway Safety and
Capacity Expansion Act of 1987, and/or the Aviation Safety
and Noise Abatement Act of 1979; and
WHEREAS, the Federal Aviation Administration has
allocated for the West Memphis Municipal Airport a grant in
the amount of $350,000.00 for project number 3-05-0065-03
to be used for the expansion of aprons and the construction
of T-hangar taxiways; and
WHEREAS, the Federal Aviation Administration has
allocated an additional $52,500.00 to bring the total
amount to $402,500.00 as set out in the Amendment No. 1 to
Grant Agreement for project No. 3-05-0065-03, a copy of
which is attached hereto;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS, that the Amendment No.
1 to Grant Agreement for project No. 3-005-0065-03 is
hereby approved and accepted and the Mayor and the City
Clerk are hereby authorized to execute the Amendment No. 1
to Grant Agreement for project No. 3-05-0065-03.

AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO GRANT AGREEMENT FOR PROJECT N0. 3-OS-0065-03
WHEREAS, the Federal Aviation Administration (hereinafter referred to as the "FAA") has determined
it to be in the interest of the United States that the Grant Agreement between the FAA, acting for and on
behalf of the United States, and the_ City of West Memphis, Arkansas
(hereinafter
referred to as the "Sponsor"), accepted by said Sponsor on the ~ day of September ~ 1 q 89~
be amended as hercinafter. provided.
NOW THEREFORE, WITNESSETH:
That in consideration of the benefits to accrue to the parties hereto, the FAA on behalf of the
United States, on the one part, and the Sponsor, on the other part, do hereby mutually agree that
the maximum amount of the obligation of the United States as set forth in
paragraph 1 of the terms and conditions on Page 2 of the Grant Agreement
is hereby increased from $350,000.00 to $402,500.00.
