RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST
MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS, ADOPTING POLICIES CONCERNING THE
IMPLEMENTATION OF THE HOUSING REHABILITATION PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, the City of West Memphis has received Federal funds
from the Department of Housing and Urban Development under the
Community Development Block Grant Program; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has previously authorized the
expenditure of Community Development Block Grant funds for the
purpose of making housing improvements and/or repairs; and
WHEREAS, the City has conducted public hearings to obtain
citizen input and views concerning the proposed Housing
Rehabilitation Program; and
WHEREAS, on the basis of citizen input and review, the
Community Development Agency has prepared a policies document
concerning the authorization of the City Council to implement the
Housing Rehabilitation Program that was presented for review at
this meeting.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS:
1. That the "Policies Document for Housing Rehabilitation
Program", dated October 1991, is hereby approved as an official
policy guideline in all respects to serve as the guiding
instrument for implementation of the Housing Rehabilitation
Program by the Community Development Agency of West Memphis.
2. That this resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval.
