A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS AND
THE WEST MEMPHIS UTILITY COMMISSION TO TRANSFER BY
QUITCLAIM DEEDS CERTAIN EASEMENTS TO THE ST. FRANCIS
LEVEE DISTRICT OF ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, all work to be performed under contract number
DACW66-91-C-0033 between the West Memphis Utility
Commission and the Department of the Army, Corp of
Engineers has been completed; and
WHEREAS, Article 1(g) of the contract provides for a
quitclaim deed from the West Memphis Utility Commission to
the St. Francis Levee District of Arkansas for easements
involved in the above contract; and
WHEREAS, the execution of such quitclaim deeds is to be
authorized by written resolution approved by majority vote
of the City Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS, that the quitclaim deed
between the West Memphis Utility Commission and the St.
Francis Levee District of Arkansas is hereby approved and
the Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized to
execute said quitclaim deed on behalf of the West Memphis
Utility Commission and the City of West Memphis.
