ORDINANCE NO. 1694
AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 10 OF ORDINANCE NO. 2472 TO
INCREASE FEES AND ADD TRADES, BUSINESSES, PROFESSIONS,
VOCATIONS AND/OR CALLINGS FOR WHICH A PRIVILEGE LICENSE
SHALL BE PAYABLE,AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 2472 levied an annual privilege license upon all persons,
partnerships, associations, firms and corporations engaged in carrying on or following certain
trades, businesses, professions, vocations, and/or calling within the corporate limits of the City of
West Memphis, Arkansas, provided the time for payment of such privilege license and penalties
for nonpayment thereof; and
WHEREAS,the Mayor has recommended that Section 10 of Ordinance No. 2472 of the
City of West Memphis be amended;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS,ARKANSAS, THAT:
SECTION 1: Section 10 of Ordinance 2472 shall be amended to increase the fee for
Business not Classified to $150.00 and Caterers for Food to $125.00.
SECTION 2: Section 10 of Ordinance 2472 shall be amended to add the trades,
businesses, profession, vocations and/or callings for which a Privilege License shall be payable
as follows:
Event Center $150.00
Food Trucks $150.00
Home Health Business $150.00
SECTION 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of any such conflict.
