RESOLUTION NO. 9"
A RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING THE ORDER APPOINTING MAYOR
MARCO McCLENDON AS ITINERANT AMBASSADOR OF THE CITY OF
GUEDIAWAYE,REPUBLIC OF SENEGAL.
WHEREAS,Mayor Marco McClendon traveled to the City of Guediawaye, Republic of
Senegal in February,2024; and
WHEREAS, during Mayor Marco McClendon's visit to the City of Guediawaye,
Republic of Senegal he was appointed as Itinerant Ambassador of the City of Guediawaye,
Republic of Senegal; and
WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of West Memphis wishes to recognize the
attached Order appointing Mayor Marco McClendon as Itinerant Ambassador of the City of •
Guediawaye,Republic of Senegal;
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS,ARKANSAS,THAT the City Council of the City of West
Memphis recognizes the attached Order appointing Mayor Marco McClendon as Itinerant
Ambassador of the City of Guediawaye,Republic of Senegal. •

HAVING REGARDTO-the Constitution;
HAVING REGARD TO taw 97-L7-of 1 December 1997 on the Labour Code,as amended; -
HAVING REGARD to Law No.2013-LO.of 28 December 2013 on the General Code of Local Authorities,as
amended,

having regard to Decree 2012.284 of 17 February 2012 establishing the special'eg-me applicable to non cm'
servants of local authorities,
HAVING REGARD to Municipal Decree No 003/MVG/SG/DRH dated 09 February 2018 appointing the Secretary
General of tree City of Guediawaye; .
HAVING REGARD TO Municipal Decree n°010/MVG/SG%DRH dated 07 September 2022 on she_organisanon of
the Guediawaye se:vices;
Having regard to the proclamation of the results of the territorial elections of 23 January 2022 of the
Deoartmental Commission cf Census of the votes of the department of Guediawaye;
Having regard to the PV of the City Council of Guediawaye of 17 February 2022 concerning the installation of . .
the Mayor and tile election and installation of his deputies;
CONSIDERING operational requirements;
ARRETE
Article Premier: Mr. Marco McClendon Mayor of West Memphis, is appointed
Itinerant Ambassador of the City of Guediawaye.
Article II:This Order will be registered, published and communicated wherever
necessary.
