AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE 2564 ESTABLISHING WATER
RATES FOR THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS,AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS,the West Memphis Utility Commission has recommended and approved a
revision of Utility rates for water in the City of West Memphis; and
WHEREAS, in order to meet necessary revenue requirement for the City of West
Memphis and its utility system, it is necessary that water rates be increased, and Ordinance 2564
be amended;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE WEST MEMPHIS CITY
COUNCIL THAT the following rates for water in the City of West Memphis are hereby adopted
and approved, the new rates shall be effective for all consumers the day this ordinance is
published, consumption before this ordinance is published shall be billed at the old rates.
SECTION 1:
A. Minimum monthly charge based on meter size

SECTION 2. All Ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of any such conflict.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall not be in effect util April 1, 2024.
