A RESOLUTION DECLARING A VACANCY ON THE CITY COUNCIL AND
CALLING FOR ELECTION OF AN ALDERMAN TO FILL THE UNEXPIRED
TERM OF ALDERMAN ROSCOE WHITE.
WHEREAS, Alderman Roscoe White has announced his resignation
from the West Memphis City Council effective June 1, 1992,
thereby creating a vacancy on the City Council as of that date;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council is to elect an Alderman to fill
the vacancy and to serve for the unexpired term; and
WHEREAS, Maggie Boals, has been recommended as a qualified
resident of Ward Four to serve for the unexpired term from and
after the effective date of the vacancy;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS, THAT:
1. From and after June 1, 1992, a vacancy is hereby declared
to exist for the position of Alderman from Ward Four, Position
Two on the West Memphis City Council;
2. Maggie Boals, a qualified resident of Ward Four, is
hereby elected to serve on the West Memphis City Council from
and after the effective date of the vacancy for the unexpired
term of Alderman from Ward Four, Position Two.
