A RESOLUTION COMMENDING ROSCOE WHITE, JR., FOR HIS
SERVICE ON THE WEST MEMPHIS CITY COUNCIL
WHEREAS, Roscoe White was elected to serve as Alderman
from Ward Four, Position Two, on the West Memphis City
l
Council beginning January 1, 1989; and
~"` WHEREAS, Roscoe White has admirably represented his
constituents in Ward Four and all of the citizens of West
Memphis during his service on the City Council; and
WHEREAS, Roscoe White's service to the City of West
Memphis has included his participation on the Fire
Commission, the Public Works Commission, the Youth
Commission, the Police Commission, the Sanitation
Commission, and as liaison from the City Council to the
Parks and Recreation Commission; and
WHEREAS, Roscoe White has been instrumental in working
with the West Memphis Fire Department in acquiring the
necessary equipment to meet a Class Three rating and has
diligently supported the programs instituted by the Fire
Department; and
WHEREAS, Roscoe White has brought a progressive,
positive and active attitude to all of his endeavors as a
representative of the City of West Memphis; and
WHEREAS, the City of West Memphis has been fortunate to
have the service, dedication and outgoing personality of
Roscoe White on the City Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS, THAT Roscoe White be
commended for his service and dedication to the citizens of
West Memphis.
