A RESOLUTION FOR THE SELECTION OF AN ENGINEERING FIRM FOR
GENERAL ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR THE WEST JACKSON STREET
RECONSTRUCTION, PHASE III, PROJECT.
WHEREAS, Arkansas Code Annotated. Section 19-11-801, et seq.,

provides the procedure for the selection anal negotiation of
contracts for professional services, including professional
engineering services; and.
WHEREAS, competitive bidding f_or the procurement of
professional engineering services is prohibited; and
WHEREAS, the City of West Memphis is in need of contracting
for professional engineering services far the West Jackson
Street Reconstruction, Phase III, Project.; and
WHEREAS, the City of West Memphis ha,s reviewed and evaluated
the currant annual statements of q.ual_ifications and performance
data. on file, selected the required number of firms and
negotiated a, contract with the firm considered the best
qualified and capable of performing the desired work, that being
Brawley Consulting Engineers;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE

CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS, that the selert.ion of Brawley
Consulting Engir~:ers to provide ,general engineering services to
the City of w"est Memphis for the West Jackson Street
Reconstruction, Phase III, Project is hereby approved and the
Mayor and the City Clerk axe hereby authorized to execute the
necessary contracts on behalf of the City of West Memphis for
the general engineering services to be provided by Brawley
Engineering Services.
