1349RESOLUTION NO. 139
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE REMOVAL OF TWO LIENS FOR
GRASS CUTTING SERVICES PERFORMED BY THE CITY OF WEST
MEMPHIS.
WHEREAS, Resolutions 1320 and 1332 adopted by the West
Memphis City Council certified charges to be placed as liens
against certain property within the City of West Memphis,
including that property located at 229 - 231 South 14th Street,
for grass cutting services performed by the City of West Memphis
pursuant to Ordinance 1385; and
WHEREAS, Resolution 1320 certified charges of $83.43 to be
placed as a lien against the property owned by Annie Hite at 229
- 231 South 14th Street in West Memphis, and Resolution 1332
certified additional charges of $69.81 to be placed as a lien
against the same property for additional grass cutting; and
WHEREAS, it has come to the attention of the Code
Enforcement Office that the notices required by Ordinance 1385
for grass cutting services performed at 229 - 231 South 14th
Street were inadvertently mailed to the owner at 351 South 24th
Street in West Memphis rather than the proper address of 351
South 24th Street in Saginaw, Michigan; and
WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Code Enforcement
Office that the liens placed against the property located at 229
- 231 South 14th Street in West Memphis by Resolutions 1320 and
1332 be removed;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS, THAT:
1. The liens imposed by Resolutions 1320 and 1332
pursuant to the authority of Ordinance 1385 against the property
owned by Annie Hite at 229 - 231 South 14th Street in West
Memphis, Arkansas, are hereby authorized to be removed;
2. The Code Enforcement Office is directed to forward a
copy of this Resolution to the Crittenden County Tax Collector's
~ Office and to the property owner.
