WHEREAS, at a meeting of the West Memphis Planning Commission
on December 15, 1993, the Planning Commission considered and
recommended that the hereinafter described lands recently annexed to
the City be changed from Industrial to Commercial use in respect to
the current Comprehensive Plan and the City Council finds that the
recommendation of the Planning Commission should be granted, NOW,
THEREFORE:
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS,
ARKANSAS:
That the West Memphis Comprehensive Plan for this newly annexed
land show commercial use with respect to:
That part of the NW 1/4 NW 1/4 of Section 6, Township 6
North, Range 9 East, described as follows: Beginning at
point 700 feet south of the north line of Section 6, and
30 feet east of the centerline of Old U. S. Highway 4161,
now State Highway 4177, thence east 200 feet parallel to
the north line of said Section 6, thence south 115.5 feet
parallel to the centerline of Old U. S. Highway 4161;
thence in a southwesterly direction for a distance of
203.0 feet to a point 30 feet east of the centerline of
Old U. S. Highway 4161; thence north along a line 30 feet
east of the centerline of said highway and parallel
thereto for a distance of 150 feet to the point of
beginning.
