WHEREAS, the Police Department of the City of
West Memphis, Arkansas, has been notified that the Crittenden
County Jail could no longer accept juveniles convicted of
misdemeanors in the West Memphis Municipal Court;~and,
WHEREAS, the City Attorney is permitted to place
all misdemeanor crimes of juveniles in the Juvenile Court
of Crittenden County, Arkansas;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS:
That the City Council confirms and directs that all
misdemeanor crimes committed by juveniles in the City of
West Memphis, Arkansas, be placed in the Juvenile Court
of Crittenden County, Arkansas.
