AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIAL PERMIT USE OF THE PROPERTY
LOCATED AT 509 N. 7TH STREET, ALSO KNOWN AS: LOTS 7 & 8, BLOCK 34,
THOMPSON SUBDIVISION 1ST ADDITION, WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS,
ALLOWING WEAST CABINET TO OPERATE A CUSTOM CABINET SHOP.
WHEREAS, an application has been made to the City Planning Commission to allow a
Special Permitted Use of a custom cabinet shop in a C-2, Open Display Commercial District, as
required by Ordinance 1258, as amended.
WHEREAS, after notice has been published for the time and in the manner as provided
by Ordinance 1258, as amended, the matter was heard by the City Planning Commission on May
26, 1999 and the Planning Commission recommended that a Special Permit Use be granted to
Weast Cabinet, 509 N. 7th Street, permitting a custom cabinet shop, subject to the special
conditions as follows:
1. No outdoor storage;
2. Provide adequate parking and hardsurfacing;
3. Approval of the Design Review Commission.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1: That the following described property, to wit;
509 N. 7th Street; also known as: Lots 7 & 8, Block 34, Thompson Subdivision 1st
Addition, West Memphis, Arkansas be, and the same hereby is granted a Special Permit
Use permitting a custom cabinet shop, subject to the special conditions as follows:
1. No outdoor storage;
2. Provide adequate parking and hardsurfacing;
3. Approval of the Design Review Commission.

SECTION 11: That all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed. -
