WHEREAS, Crittenden Fine Arts is requesting a
Resolution designating the week of July 27-August 2, 1986,
~ as SOUTH PACIFIC WEEK in the City of West Memphis, Arkansas,
making Lisa Schingle the only cast member from outside
Crittenden County, an Honorary Citizen of West Memphis,
Arkansas; and,
WHEREAS, SOUTH PACIFIC is one of the largest projects
ever undertaken by West Memphis Little~'heatre; and, we
would like to invite you to attend a performance during
the week of July 31-August 2, 1986, at the Civic Auditorium;
and,
WHEREAS, First South Federal Savings and Loan Association,
again is underwriting the cost of the production; but
West Memphis Little Theatre is attempting to raise additional
funds to secure a 25-piece orchestra--a first for us--in
which our goal is to sell 3,000 tickets;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS, THAT:
1. The week of July 27-August 2, 1986, be observed
as SOUTH PACIFIC WEEK;
2. LISA SCHINGLE be made an Honorary Citizen of
West Memphis, Arkansas;
3. All Citizens are urged to attend a performance of
SOUTH PACIFIC, July 31-August 2, 1986.
