A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST
MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS, AUTHORIZING THE COMMUNITY DEVELOP-
MENT AGENCY TO APPLY FOR ADDITIONAL RENTAL REHABILITA-
TION FUNDS FROM THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND
URBAN DEVELOPMENT.

WHEREAS, the City of West Memphis is desirous. of continuing to under-
take Rental Rehabilitation activities with funds available under the pro-
visions of the Housing and Urban-Rural Recovery Act of 1983, as amended;
and
WHEREAS, the Application and Program Description for the Rental
Rehabilitation Program has been prepared by the Community Development
Agency of West Memphis; and
WHEREAS, the City is required to submit to the U.S. Department of
HousirLg and Urban Development certain certifications of compliance with
applicable statutes and executive orders associated with the Rental Rehab-
ilitation Program.
NOW, THELEFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST

1. That the Application and Program Description for. the Rental
Rehabilitation Program is hereby approved to serve as the
guiding instrument for the continuation of tiie Rental Rehab-
ilitation Program; said Program to be administered by the
Community Development Agency of West Memphis.
2. That the Mayor be and hereby is authorized to submit to the
Little Rock Area Office of the U.S. Department of Housing
and Urban Development said Application and Program Descrip-
tion.
3. That the Mayor be and hereby is authorized to provide addi-
tional information to the U.S. Department of Housing and
Urban Development as may be requested, and that the Director
of the Community Development Agency of West Memphis be desig-
nated the "lead person" for the Rental Rehabilitation Program.
4. That the Application and Program Description shall continue
to serve as a guide for the Rental Rehabilitation Program.
5. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage and approval.
