A RESOLUTIOI'1 OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ~n7EST MEMPHIS , ARKANSAS Ad'C~ ~
WHEREAS, Lindsey J. Fairley was elected PZunicipal
Court Judge of the West P'Iemphis Municipal Court in November,
~ ~ 1970, took office January 1, 1971, has served continuously
~ since and will complete 16 years service as Municipal Court
Judge on December 31, 1986; and,
WHEREAS, Act 432 of 1973 as amended provides for retire-
ment of P~Tunicipal Court Judges after 16 years service who
shall attain the age of 50 years, and,
WHEREAS, funds for the retirement benefits are admin-
istered by a Board of Trustees who have recommended approval
of the retirement acid payment of benefits beginning August 13,
1988 and the fund has a balance of $266,972.88 as of September
3U, 1986 and earned $26,976.06 for the first nine months of
1986; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has been asked to approve the
retirement and payment of benefits of one-half of the salary of
the PZunicipal Judge as of December 31, 1986, with payments be-
ginning August 13, 1988.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF L-JEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS:
The retirement of Lindsey J. Fairley as Municipal Court
Judge with 16 years service on December 31, 1986 and payment
of benefits of one-half of the salary of t~.e-r osition on that
date beginning August 13, 1988 is her y approved.
