WHEREAS, Mr. Curtis Randy Dalton was first elected to
the West Memphis City Council in 1980 and served for six (6)
years, through 1986; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Curtis Randy Dalton has served as a dedi-
Gated, hard working and conscientious council member and has
through his years of service faithfully served his consti-
tuents, his City, State and Nation by his service in elected
office; and
WHEREAS, during the time Mr. Curtis Randy Dalton served
on the City Council he has served on the following committees:
Police, Public Works, Small Claims, Taxi, Act Nine (9) Bond,
and Joint Adhoc; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Curtis Randy Dalton distinguished himself
in helping to restructure an Ordinance pertaining to the
West Memphis Utility Commission which Ordinance remains in
effect and has been instrumental in allowing the City of
West Memphis to retain the electrical rates in a competition
basis; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Curtis Randy Dalton also rendered service
to the City of West Memphis in negotiating contracts with
outside sources for the disposal of City waste; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Curtis Randy Dalton found it necessary to
vacate his position on the City Council due to important
business advantages causing him to move his business to
another town;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS:
That the City Council appreciates and will greatly miss
the services of Mr. Curtis Randy Dalton for the contribu-
tions he has made to the City of West Memphis during the
many years he served as a Member of the West Memphis City
Council.
