WHEREAS, Arkansas Statutes Annotated ~ 19-1010 (Repl. 1980)
provides that the Aldermen of the City Council "shall determine
the rules of their proceedings;" and
WHEREAS, the City Council of West Memphis, Arkansas desires
to establish a procedure for the presentation of matters during
the portion of the Council Meeting designated for Citizen Request;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS, THAT any person may address the
City Council during the Citizen Request by placing their name
and the nature of the request on the list maintained at City Hall
no later than 5:00 p.m. on the day preceding the meeting at which
they desire to be heard.
