- WHEREAS, upon notice properly published, the City of
`4 West Memphis has accepted sealed bids for the sale of
certain real property belonging to the City of West
Memphis; and
WHEREAS, the highest and best bid for said property was
received from the Fourteenth Street Church of Christ in the
amount of $3,500.00;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS:
That the sale of the following described real property
lying in and situated in the City of West Memphis,
Crittenden County, Arkansas, to-wit:
Begining at a point, (Intersection of South R/W of
Jefferson Avenue and the East, R/W of 14th Street,
said point being Northeast corner of plot); thence
South 255 feet to Rock Island Railroad, R/W; thence
~~,rl West South-West; along said Railroad R/W 205 feet to
a point; thence North 304.7 feet to the South R/W of
Jefferson Avenue; thence East 200 feet along South
R/W of Jefferson Avenue to point of begining,
containing 1.285 acres, being a portion of Wonder City
High School property, located in the Southeast quarter
(SE1/4J of Section Eighteen (18), Township Six (6J
North, Range Nine (9) East.
from the City of West Memphis, Arkansas, to the Fourteenth
Street Church of Christ for the amount of $3,500.00 is
hereby approved and the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized
to execute a warranty deed for the transfer of said
property.
