A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS APPROVING
THE FY87 PROPOSED STATEMENT OF COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT OBJECTIVES AND PROJECTED USE
OF FUNDS AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
WHEREAS, the City of West Memphis has been designated by
the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) as an
Entitlement City under the Community Development Block Grant
(CDBG) Program; and
WHEREAS, West Memphis is entitled to receive the annual
grant so long as its performance is in accordance with statutory
and regulatory requirements of the CDBG Program and HUD; and
WHEREAS, the Proposed Statement of Community Development
Objectives and Projected Use of Funds (Statement), dated June 1,
1987, must be approved by the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the Statement has been prepared in accordance with
the applicable rules and regulations by the Community Develop-
ment Agency of West Memphis.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS:
1. That the Proposed Statement of Community Development
Objectives and Projected Use of Funds is hereby ap-
proved.
2. That the Community Development Agency of West Memphis
be authorized to proceed with preparation of the Final
Statement, although the City Council reserves the
right to amend the Final Statement prior to submission
to HUD.
3. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage.
