A RESOLUTION COMMENDING ROY STRONG FOR
TWENTY-FIVB YEARS OF SERVICE ON THB WEST MEMPHIS
AIRPORT COMMISSION.
WHEREAS, Roy Strong was one of the original members
appointed to the West Memphis Airport Commission on June
15, 1962 and he has served as a Commissioner for the past
twenty-five years; and
WHEREAS, Roy Strong currently holds the position of
Treasurer of the West Memphis Airport Commission; and
WHEREAS, Roy Strong has been instrumental in the growth
and continued development of the West Memphis Municipal
Airport; and
WHEREAS, through his efforts together with the other
Commissioners the West Memphis Municipal Airport has been
successful in receiving federal grants through the Federal
Aviation Administration, including the recent grant of
$486,000.00 for improvements to the facilities at the West
Memphis Municipal Airport; and
WHEREAS, the City of West Memphis is indeed grateful to
Roy Strong and fortunate to have him serving on the West
Memphis Airport Commission;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WEST MBMPHI3, ARKANSAS, that Roy Strong be
commended for his dedication and service of twenty-five
years on the West Memphis Airport Commission.
