A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE DONATION FROM AP&L TO THE CITY OF
WEST MEMPHIS OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY AND AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR AND THE CITY CLERK TO SIGN THE DEED ACCEPTING ON
BEHALF OF THE CITY AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A RIGHT-
OF-WAY PERMIT IN FAVOR OF AP8~L
WHEREAS, Arkansas Power & Light Company (AP&L} has approved
the donation of 7.17 acres of land to the City of West Memphis
to be included in the expansion of Tilden Rodgers Park on
Airport Road; and
WHEREAS, AP&L will need a Right-of-Way Permit granting them
an easement for their transmission lines on the property; and
WHEREAS, the City is grateful to AP&L for its contribution
to the City's efforts to improve the quality of life for the
citizens of West Memphis; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of West Memphis finds
that the Mayor and the City Clerk should be authorized to accept
this property on behalf of the City of West Memphis and to
execute a Right-of-Way Permit;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS, that the City hereby gratefully
accepts the contribution from AP&L of 7.17 acres of land to be
included in the expansion of Tilden Rodgers Park on Airport
Road, and the Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized to
sign the deed accepting on behalf of the City and to execute a
Right-of-Way Permit granting to AP&L an easement for their
transmission lines on said property.
