A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE WEST
MEMPHIS UTILITY COMMISSION AND OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT
INTERNATIONAL, INC., FOR OPERATIONS, MAINTENANCE AND
MANAGEMENT SERVICES FOR THE WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS,
WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND
THE CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT, AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the West Memphis Utility Commission and
Operations Management International, Inc., (OMI) have
negotiated an agreement for the continued services of OMI
in operating, maintaining and managing the West Memphis
Wastewater Treatment Plant, and;
WHEREAS, the West Memphis Utility Commission has
approved the agreement with OMI and recommended it to the
West Memphis City Council for approval, and;
WHEREAS, the West Memphis City Council finds the
agreement between the West Memphis Utility Commission and
OMI to be in the best interest of the City of West Memphis;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS THAT the agreement between the
West Memphis Utility Commission and OMI for the operation,
maintenance and management of the West Memphis Wastewater
Treatment Plant is hereby approved and the Mayor and the
City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute said agreement
on behalf of the City of West Memphis.
