A RESOLUTION COMMENDING SENATOR DALE BUMPERS FOR HIS EFFORTS
IN OBTAINING AN INSTRUMENT LANDING SYSTEM FOR THE CITY OF
WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS
WHEREAS, the City of West Memphis is deeply grateful to Senator
Dale Bumpers for his diligence in aiding the city in it's efforts to
obtain an Instrument Landing System from the FAA, and
WHEREAS, the system will be installed and maintained by the FAA
at no cost to the City of West Memphis, and
WHEREAS, the ILS will be a tremendous addition to our local
airport in helping to improve air traffic safety, as well as increase
traffic which will be an economic boost for our city, and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Council hereby recognize and commend
Senator Dale Bumpers on his extraordinary efforts on behalf of the
City of West Memphis.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS:
~'" SECTION I: That the Mayor and City Council of the City of West
Memphis hereby recognize and commend Senator Dale Bumpers for his extra-
ordinary efforts on behalf of the citizens of West Memphis in obtaining
an Instrument Landing System for the City.
SECTION II: That a copy of this resolution be sent to Senator
Dale Bumpers in Washington, D. C.
