The attached resolution will authorize the City
Attorney to file a petition in the County Court for the
annexation of certain property which is adjacent to the
West Memphis Municipal Airport. This property was acquired
by the city from Connecticut Mutual Life Insurance Company
in 1989. Connecticut Mutual Life Insurance Company owns an
additional 25.6 acre tract which is adjacent to the
property owned by the city and they will also be
petitioning the County Court for annexation to the city.
