A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY ATTORNEY TO BEGIN
PROCEEDINGS FOR THE ANNEXATION BY PETITION OF CERTAIN
DESCRIBED REAL PROPERTY.
WHEREAS, the City of West Memphis, Arkansas, has
acquired title to certain real property described as:
A 45.05 acre, more or less, tract of land lying in the
Southwest Quarter (SW 1/4) of Section 15 and in the
Northwest Quarter (NW 1/4) of Section 22, all in
Township 6 North, Range 8 East, Crittenden County,
Arkansas, being more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the center of said Section 15, Township 6
North, Range 8 East, Crittenden County, Arkansas;
thence South 1250.4 feet along the east line of the
Southwest Quarter (SW 1/4) of said Section 15 to the
point of beginning; thence West 898.0 feet; thence
South 3425.79 feet along the existing West Memphis
Municipal Airport property line to a point on the North
line of the United Refrigerated Services, Inc.
property; thence East along said property line a
distance of 350.0 feet; thence North 2036.19 feet to a
point on the line between Sections 15 and 22; thence
East 548.0 feet to a point on the East line of said
Southwest Quarter (SW 1/4) of Section 15; thence North
1389.6 feet along said East line to the point of
beginning.
which is contiguous to and adjoining the City of West
~ Memphis, Arkansas; and
~ WHEREAS, the City of West Memphis, as owner of the
above described property, desires to annex the above
described property to the City of West Memphis by
proceedings through the County Court of Crittenden County;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS:
That the City Attorney be authorized and instructed to
start proceedings in the County Court of Crittenden County,

Arkansas, to annex the above described property to the City
of West Memphis, Arkansas.
