A RESOLUTION APPROVING AND RATIFYING A CONTRACT BETWEEN THE
CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, COASTAL UNILUBE, INC., ORYX ENERGY
COMPANY AND SUN PIPE LINE COMPANY FOR INSTALLATION OF A 16
INCH WATERLINE.
WHEREAS, the City of West Memphis, Coastal Unilube, Inc.,
Oryx Energy Company and Sun Pipe Line Comapany have negotiated
the terms of an agreement for the installation of a 16 inch

water line to provide a more adequate water supply to industries
at the south end of Eighth Street in West Memphis; and
WHEREAS, the installation of a 16 inch waterline will serve
to better protect the citizens of West Memphis and will reduce
the potential danger of a fire at any of the facilities located
on South Eighth Street in West Memphis;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS that the agreement between the City of West
Memphis, Coastal Unilube, Inc., Oryx Energy Company and Sun Pipe
Line Company is hereby approved and ratified in all respects and
the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute said agreement.
