2167ORDINANCE NO. 2167
AN ORDINANCE TO ESTABLISH THE COMPENSATION FOR THE
POSITION OF SCHOOL CROSSING GUARD AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, School Crossing Guards are currently compensated by the City of West
Memphis at the rate of $7.57 per hour with one-half of that expense being reimbursed by the
West Memphis School District; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City of West Memphis and the West Memphis School
District that the School Crossing Guards be granted an increase in compensation; and
WHEREAS, the West Memphis School District has agreed to pay its share of these
raises;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The compensation for the position of School Crossing Guard be amended
from $7.57 per hour to $9.57 per hour.
SECTION 2. All ordinances or resolutions or parts of ordinances or resolutions in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of any such conflict.
