AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE 1258, AS AMENDED,
ARTICLE V, SECTION 1, IN REGARDS TO STANDARDS
ALLOWING MINI-STORAGE UNITS AS AN ACCESSORY USE
TO APARTMENTS IN R 4, DISTRICTS WITH A SPECIAL USE ,
PERMIT.
" WHEREAS, after a public hearing upon due notice and publication, the Planning
Commission approved and recommended for adoption, on November 17, 1999, the proposed
amendment to the zoning regulations adopted by Ordinance 1258, as amended, to amend the
language in Article V, Section 1, Paragraph A ;and # 3, to read as follows:
--- A. Mini-Storage units maybe allowed as an accessory use to apartments in a R-4 District,
subject to the following standards:
--- 3. Screening adjacaent to single family residential zoning districts: 7 foot solid fence and
landscaping.
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the proposed amendment to the zoning
regulations of the Ctiy of West Memphis should be adopted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Article V, Section 1, Paragraph A ;and # 3, of the zoning regulations
adopted by Ordinance 1258, as amended, is hereby amended to read as follows:
--- A. Mini-Storage units maybe allowed as an accessory use to apartments in a R-4 District,
subject to the following standards:
--- 3. Screening adjacent to single family residential zoning districts: 7 foot solid fence and
landscaping.
SECTION II: That all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed.
