AN ORDINANCE TO WAIVE COMPETITIVE BIDDING FOR UNIFORM AND
LAUNDR\' SF,RVICE TO BE PROVIDED BY G & K SERVICES, AND FOR
OTHER N'-'KPi)SES.
WHEREAS, Arkansas Code Annotated Section 14-58-303 allows waiving of competitive
bidding in exceptional situations where such procedure is deemed not feasible or practical; and
WHEREAS, there are many items necessary for the City's use where competitive bidding is
deemed not feasible or practical; and
WHEREA>, the City of 'Vest Memphis is in need of providing uniform and laundry service
in order to provid? pr~~rcr al>~~earance and identification for employees of certain departments; and
it would not be feas~hle o; ~,ractical to require competitive bidding for such services under the present
circumstances;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS:
1. That con-pe'~*ive hiddin47 be waived for the following item to be used by the City, described
as follows:
