AN ORDINANCE TO REZONE CERTAIN PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF WEST
MEMPHIS, KNOWN AS: ALL OF BLOCKS 1 & 2 OF THE FIRST ADDITION TO U. S.
A. TRUCK SUBDIVISION AND ALL OF LOT 1 OF THE SECOND ADDITION TO U.
S. A. TRUCK SUBDIVISION LYING IN THE N 1/2 OF SECTION 8, T-6-N, R-9-E, CITY
~ OF WEST MEMPHIS, CRITTENDEN COUNTY, ARKANSAS; ALSO KNOWN AS:
2600 E. N. SERVICE RD AND CONTAINING 31.66 ACRES, FROM C-1, GENERAL
COMMERCIAL DISTRICT, TO C-2, OPEN DISPLAY COMMERCIAL DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, application was made to the City Planning Commission to rezone the
herinafter described property, and after notice having been published for the time and in
the manner as provided by Ordinance No. 1258, as amended, the matter was heard by the
City Planning Commission on Wednesday, January 26, 2000 and the Planning Commission
recommended that the application be approved and that such application should be
granted to rezone the following property from C-1, General Commercial District, to C-2,
Open Display Commercial District:
All of Blocks 1 & 2 of the First Addition to U. S. A. Truck Subdivision and all of Lot
1 of the Second Addition to U. S. A. Truck Subdivision lying in the N 1/2 of Section
8, T-6-N, R-9-E, City of West Memphis, Crittenden County, Arkansas containing
31.66 acres: Also known as 2600 E. N. Service Rd., West Memphis, Arkansas.
WHEREAS, no persons appeared to protest against said zoning as
requested; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of West Memphis approved said petition
and recommends that said rezoning be granted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That the following property now zoned as C-1, General Commercial
District be, and the same is hereby, rezoned as C-2, Open Display Commercial District:
All of Blocks 1 & 2 of the First Addition to U. S. A. Truck Subdivision and all of Lot
1 of the Second Addition to U. S. A. Truck Subdivision lying in the N 1/2 of Section
8, T-6-N, R-9-E, City of West Memphis, Crittenden County, Arkansas containing
31.66 acres: Also known as 2600 E. N. Service Rd., West Memphis, Arkansas.
SECTION 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed.
