AN ORDINANCE TO REZONE CERTAIN PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF WEST
MEMPHIS, KNOWN AS: A 6.66 ACRE TRACT OF LAND LYING IN THE N 1/2 S 1/2
NW 1/4 OF SECTION 7, T-6-N, R-9-E, INTERSTATE INDUSTRIAL PARK
SUBDIVISION, CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, CRITTENDEN COUNTY, ARKANSAS,
AND LOCATED AT APPROXIMATELY 900 N. 7th STREET, FROM I-2, GENERAL
INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT, TO I-1, LIGHT INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, application was made to the City Planning Commission to rezone the
herinafter described property, and after notice having been published for the time and in
the manner as provided by Ordinance No. 1258, as amended, the matter was heard by the
City Planning Commission on Wednesday, January 26, 2000, and the Planning
Commission recommended that the application be approved and that the following
property be rezoned from I-2, General Industrial District, to I-1, Limited Industrial
District:
A 6.66 Acre tract of land lying in the N I/2 S 1/2 NW 1/4 of Section 7, T-6-N, R-9-E,
Interstate Industrial Park Subdivision, City of West Memphis, Crittenden County,
Arkansas and located at approximately 900 N. 7th Street, West Memphis, Arkansas.
WHEREAS, no persons appeared to protest against said zoning as
requested; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of West Memphis approved said
Petition and recommends that said rezoning be granted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That the following property now zoned I-Z, General Industrial
District, be and the same is hereby, rezoned as I-1, Light Industrial District:
A 6.66 Acre tract of land lying in the N 1/2 S 1/2 NW 1/4 of Section 7, T-6-N, R-9-E,
Interstate Industrial Park Subdivision, City of West Memphis, Crittenden County,
Arkansas and located at approximately 900 N. 7th Street, West Memphis, Arkansas.
SECTION 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed.
