The Council of the City of crest 1~%emphis in the County of Crittenden, State of Arkansas,
met in a regular session at the City Hall in said L'ity at 7;00 P.A4. on the 21st day of January,
1948.
The meeting eras called to order, and the roll being called there were;
Present: Aldermen: J, A. Johnson, Curtis Foster, 0, T, Bollinger, R. R, Morley, and
G. ~+. +`uAuley; City Attorney J, H, Spears and City Clerk L. P, Bernhard.
Absent: Mayor Dacus and Alderman C. H. brown.
It being determined a quorum vras present, the following proceedings were had to-wit:
The Mayor being absent the first order of business was that of the election of a temporary
chairrnan to preside at the meeting in the absence of the Mayor. Tlrereupon, Alderman Bollinger
nominated J. A. Johnson to serve as temporary chairrnan, which motion was seconded by Alderman
Foster, and upon the matter being called to vote, the follcvring voted:
Aye: Curtis Foster, 0. I. Hollinger, R. R. Morley, and G. rq, McAuley.
Nay: None.
City Clerk L. P. Bernhard advised the council t]-rat the ]mayor was out of the City and could
not attend the meeting, whereupon motion was made, passed, and adopted that said Council adjourn
over until 7:00 P.M. January 22, 1948.
