The Council of the City of °Yest Memphis met in a special call session at the
City Hall in said City at 7:30 P,M, on the 10th day of rebruary, 1950.
The meeting was called to order and the roll being called there were:
Present: Mayor P. M. Lacus in the chair, and the following named Aldermen:
A. R, 'Manchester, R. L. Garrison, R, R, Morley, P, B, Powers,
James Bledsoe and C. 1, Bollinger and r;ity attorney Spears.
Absent: Aldermen 0. H. Rowton and Curtis Foster and City Clerk H. 0. Coats.
It being determined a quorum was present, the following proceedLngs wvere had
to-wit:

th® desirability of employing special counsel to represent the City in the case of
Ramsey et al vs. City of "est Memphis novr pending in the Federal Court at Jonesboro,
hskansas; that Mann & }:cCuiloch had el ready participated in the case; that Daggett &
Daggett were available far employm~=rt in the case.
After discussion of the matter, the following resolution was introduced in
vrriting and read in full by alderman Garrison;

BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of 1"Jest fliemphis, Arkansas,
itt a special call meeting held at the City Hall February 10, 19L:9, at
7:30 P, M. that the employment of special counsel of the firms of
Mann & McCulloch and Daggett ~ "agt~ett to represent, the City of ~+est Memphis
in certain litigations filed in thc~ Federal Court, Jonesboro, Arkansas, by
Wtn. H. Ramsey, Adm. vs. City of ~Yest i"~mphis be and is hereby confirmed.
Motion was made by %adernan Pdorley and seconded by Alderman Bledsoe to
adopt the resolution, and upon the mater being called to vote, the following voted:
Aye: A. R. Manchester, R. L. Garrison, R, R, Morley, P. D. dowers,
James Bledsoe and 0. I. Bollinger.
Nay: None.
