AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIAL USE PERMIT IN A C-2, OPEN DISPLAY
COMMERCIAL DISTRICT TO ALLOW AN AUTO AUCTION, AT 2301 E.
BROADWAY, WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, an application has been made to the City Planning Commission to
allow a Special Use Permit of a Auto Auction facility in a C-2, Open Display Commercial
District, as required by Ordinance 1258, as amended.
WHEREAS, after notice has been published for the time and in the manner as
provided by Ordinance No. 1258, as amended, the matter was heard 6y the City Planning
Commission, on May 12, 2000 and the Planning Commission recommended that a
Special Use Permit be granted to Tom Gibson, for said property, to permit an auto auction
C-2, Open Display Commercial District, subject to the following supplemental condition:
1. Installation of a landscape screen along Broadway, subject to the approval of the
Department of Planning and Development;
2. No ingress/egress on Broadway.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1: That the following described property, to wit:
2301 E. Broadway, West Memphis, Arkansas
be, and the same hereby is granted a Special Use Permit, permitting an auto auction in
a C-2, Open Display Commercial District, subject to the following supplimential condition:
1. Installation of a landscape screen along Broadway, subject to the approval of the
Department of Planning and Development;
2. No ingress/egress on Broadway.
SECTION II: That all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed.
