A RESOLUTION COMMENDING DR. CHESTER PEEPLES FOR HIS
SERVICE ON THE WEST MEMPHIS CITY COUNCIL
WHEREAS, Dr. Chester Peeples accepted an appointment in 2006 to serve as
Alderman for the remainder of the unexpired term of Alderman Harold Thomas and
following Alderman Thomas' posthumous re-election Dr. Chester Peeples continued to
serve as Alderman from Ward Three, Position Two, on the West Memphis City Council
where he served full two year term; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Chester Peeples previously served as Alderman from Ward
Three for six years; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Chester Peeples has wholeheartedly represented his constituents
in Ward Three and all of the citizens of West Memphis during his tenure on the West
Memphis City Council; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Chester Peeples has served on the Public Works Committee,
Personnel Committee, Budget Committee, Insurance Committee, Fire Commission,
Police Commission, Design Review Commission and Utility Commission; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Chester Peeples has been known for his progressive, positive and
active attitude in all of his endeavors while serving Ward Three, Position Two; and
WHEREAS, the City of West Memphis has been fortunate to have the service,
dedication and outgoing personality of Dr. Chester Peeples on the City Council; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS, that Dr. Chester Peeples be
commended for his service and dedication to the citizens of West Memphis.
