A RESOLUTION COMMENDING HELEN HARRIS FOR HER
SERVICE ON THE WEST MEMPHIS CITY COUNCIL
WHEREAS, Helen Harris was elected in 2004 to serve as Alderman from Ward Five,
Position Two, on the West Memphis City Council, where she has served for four years; and
WHEREAS, Helen Harris has done a tremendous job in representing her constituents in
Ward Five, and all the citizens of West Memphis during her tenure on the City Council; and
WHEREAS, Helen Harris has served on the Fire Commission, Police Commission,
Advertising and Promotion Commission, Neighborhood Center Committee, Public Works
Committee and Budget Committee and she has served as liaison for the Design Review
Commission; and
WHEREAS, Helen Harris has been known for her progressive, positive and active
attitude in all of her endeavors while serving Ward Five, Position Two; and
WHEREAS, the City of West Memphis has been fortunate to have the service,
dedication and outgoing personality of Helen Harris on the West Memphis City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS, ARKANSAS that Helen Harris be commended for her service
and dedication to the citizens of West Memphis.
