A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN THE PURCHASE •
AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS AND THE
WEST MEMPHIS FIRE DEPARTMENT WITH THE SUTPHEN
CORPORATION FORA SUTPHEN HEAVY DUTY CUSTOM STOCK PUMPER
WHEREAS,the Mayor and the City Council of the City of West Memphis have
determined that a true and very real need exists for the acquisition of a heavy duty custom stock
pumper and the pumper will be used solely for essential governmental functions and not for
private business use; and -
WHEREAS,the Mayor and the City Council have taken the necessary steps, including
any legal bidding requirements,under applicable law to arrange for the acquisition of such
equipment;
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WEST MEMPHIS,ARKANSAS,THAT the terms of said Purchase Agreement is in
the best interest of the City of West Memphis for the acquisition of a Sutphen Heavy Custom
Stock Pumper, and the Mayor is hereby authorized to sign the Purchase Agreement with Sutphen
Corporation. l
