The City Council of the City of ~+est Tremphis, Arkansas,-met in
special session at the City Hall in said City on the 26th day of
March, 1946, at 8 o~clock Fili~tiith the follov,~ing members present:

All members of the Council having been given notice of the meet-
ing, and all members being present, the following proceedings were
had and done to tivit:
Dayor Dacus Advised the Council that ~;;r. Burt TWann and Senator
E. J. Butler of Forrest City had contacted him with reference to the
City of ~'+est Iliemphis granting the Arkansas Y~estern Gas Company
permission to lay mains, distribute and sell natural gas to the
inhabitants of Vest Tviemphis.
The matter vaas discussed by the members of the Council aad others
present, and all were of the opinion that an effort should be made to
have the distribution system for natural gas installed in the City;
that the proposed contract be taken under advisement and study and
counter F:roposals made to the Arkansas ~+estern Gas Company relative
to the contract to be made betvaeen the City and the Arkansas Juestern
Gas Company.
Thero being no further business the meeting was duly adjourned.
